flammin' hot

the past week has been extremely HOT! talk about fire danger in this 35degree heat, I can imagine how much worse last summer was in its 40degree plus (while I was away).

spent lazy Sunday BBQ-ing with Con and his family, but indoors as it was just too darn hot to be outside. we had the most wonderful home-cooked Greek food and to top it off it was all ORGANICALLY grown from their backyard! it was all too delicious. Greek sausage, salad with feta cheese, BBQ-ed pork, roasted tomatoes and eggplant filled rice, organically grown olives, olive bread, spinach and ricotta hand-rolled pastry... mmm... i didn't get to take pics of all the food...
Mocha had fun meeting new friends too

grape vines and pear tree in the backyard. there was a wide variety of different herbs and vegies grown; garlic, beans, tomato, FIGS, dill, basil, oregano... etc

Tyson, Annabelle and Mocha made friends

roasted vegies filled with rice

hand rolled pastry with spinach and ricotta

a pair of pigeons kissing on the roof
the pigeon to the left later distracted them and they flew away

how did everybody survive the weekend heat?!
don't forget to drink lots of water!
